This holiday season you can make a tangible difference to deserving families working hard to escape poverty. And we have a bookathon for Kids in the U.S. to help too!

• Sponsor a family! $50/mo. Join our pilot program where your family will be matched with a specific family in 7de laan. You will hear how they are doing and get direct messages through the social worker. Step into 7de laan in a tangible way through this relationship.

• Support rehab for those taking a big step in their recovery journey $1000 covers a person’s entire 6-month program. This is $5.50 a day for therapy, accommodation and food! Cover half for $500, $250 or any amount. There are 4 people needing rehab at this time.

• Care packages for sick kids $25. Care packages include new sheets and blankets, laundry detergent, and an extra set of clothes. These items help families keep their kids’ clothes and bedding clean and dry so kids can heal. Our goal is 10 care packages.

• Family Fun Pack $15. Crafts, books, games, toys and playdough are luxuries to these families. But they are also necessities to help families bond and find joy in difficult times. Our goal is to have 20 family fun packs sponsored!

• Bookathon. Hey kids, use your superpower reading skills to help Children in need in South Africa. How?! Get as many sponsors as you can to donate $10 for each book you read over Christmas break. The money you earn will buy toys and books for kids who really need them. Ask your parents to send in the money. Sign up at Handsandfeetsouthafrica.org/bookathon
